PM Suryagarh Muft Bijli Yojana is aimed at promoting sustainable development by providing free electricity. With an investment of Rs 75,000 crores, the project aims to provide electricity to 1 crore households by offering 300 units of complimentary electricity each month.
This scheme is anticipated to increase household income, reduce power bills, and generate employment opportunities.
How to apply for PM Suryagarh Muft Bijli Yojana?
To apply for a rooftop solar panel under the PM Suryagarh: Muft Bijli Yojana, follow these steps, which are on the official website:
Register on the portal by providing the following steps
- State selection
- Electricity distribution company selection
- Electricity consumer number
- Mobile no
- Email address
Login to the portal using your consumer number and mobile number
Fill out the rooftop solar application form
We are awaiting approval from the electricity distribution company (DISCOM).
Once the approval is granted, proceed to the next step
Installing the solar panel by engaging any of the registered vendors by DISCOM.

To apply the net meter, submit the plant details after installation.
After the inspection and installation of the net meter by DISCOM, they will generate a commissioning certificate from the portal.
Upon receiving the commissioning certificate, submit bank details and a cancelled check through the portal.
Within 30 days, you will be receiving the subsidy in your bank account.
