Netflix founded by Reed Hastings in the year 1997 in US. Initially started with subscription based service of streaming various movie series, TV Shows and huge library of entertainment services, they also had their own production house and then started creating their own content.

Netflix entered the Indian entertainment market in the year 2016. The company faced huge competition from existing OTT platforms like Prime Video (Amazon Prime) and also Hotstar which had digital rights of two famous entertainers of India Cricket and Bollywood.
Netflix had to struggle to influence the Indian market, as it had very less regional content which every Indian was fond and the most important the pricing was high compared to the other platforms.
Netflix bought in a new strategy during this lockdown to tweak in Indian audience, one among them being dubbing the English content into 5 other regional languages like Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam etc.
And other main strategy is being pricing, one which was stopping every Indian from enjoying it, so they started Rs199/- per month mobile only subscription, which was instant hit among the Young audience.

Netflix Yearly Subscription Price in India 2021
Netflix offers a variety of plans to its Indian customers. Let’s check the plan which will suit us. The plans are designed in such a way that subscribers can see in more devices at one time are the ones which are highly priced.
The Indian subscription plans are divided into 4 types:
- Mobile
- Basic
- Standard
- Premium
#1 Mobile: This is a subscription plan only for mobile, and is monthly plan and costs you around Rs199/- and offers unlimited streaming experience. The yearly offer charges you around Rs2338/-
#2 Basic: This is a subscription which can be used only on your Computer and laptop, and as well mobile and the devices at one time you can watch are only 1 in this subscription plan. This plan costs you Rs449/- to avail this subscription. And if you want to go for a yearly plan you can spend around Rs5988/- and avail similar offers but for complete year.
#3 Standard: This subscription plan allows you to watch in 2 devices at a time and
Offers you HD services and can be viewed in all the platforms and costs you around Rs649/- for a month. The Standard plan will cost you around Rs7788/- for a year.
#4 Premium: This subscription is the premium one and costs you Rs799/- Monthly and can be see in 4 devices and and this option gives you Ultra HD experience. The premium Subscription plan would cost you around Rs9588/- and experience a huge set of movies, TV shows, and much more.

Free Netflix Subscription:
Is free subscription available by the Netflix?
And the answer is yes it is, the Platform offers you a One Month Free Trial where you can stream all the services freely for one month without any disturbance just by entering your basic details of debit card.
If you are not willing to pay the amount you can deactivate the account by end of the first month.
Jio Network also offers free Netflix account when you recharge your mobile with certain Jio plan. As both of them have partnered in India.

Downloading the Content on Netflix?
Netflix let’s its subscribers to download the content for offline viewing, and the devices where you can download are depended on the plan you are subscribed to.
- Basic plan let’s you download only in One device,
- Standard Plan let’s you download in 2 devices,
- Premium Plan let’s you download in 4 devices.
This can be managed by going to Account>Manage Download Devices in the settings section.
How to Share Netflix Account with Friends?
Yes you can share your Netflix accounts with your friends, when you subscribe to Standard and Premium Plans which gives you option to watch in more than 2 devices and 4 devices respectively.
You can use the Login Username and Password of the account and eventually start streaming the services.
If a person has access to only one account then also his friends can stream continuously but the condition is only one is watching at a time.
Netflix gives a opportunity of creating own Profiles, so that your interests doesn’t clash with your friends and both of you can enjoy your favorite entertainment.

Can I Share My Netflix Account without Giving Password?
Account can be shared with your friends but you cannot login into the account without a password, so password is important. So once logged in you don’t have to login always. But most of the people want to keep their password secretive even while sharing to friends.
Password manager can be used for sharing password discreetly with your contacts so that it’s not misused by others. And the person whom you’re sharing your password must have password manager installed in order to log in.
However the Netflix terms and conditions says, your accounts are to be used for only personal use and can’t be shared with other households which eventually is commercial use. But Netflix doesn’t take this issue up so seriously.
So finally let’s use our own account rather than friends account and for streaming continuously without any discrepancy.
